What we collect
GotAsked.io only offers sign-in with LinkedIn (OpenID Connect). When you sign in, we store:
- Your LinkedIn account ID
- Your name, as returned by LinkedIn
- Your email address, if LinkedIn provides one (it is optional)
We don't request or store your photo, locale, headline, or job history from LinkedIn. Signing in with LinkedIn does not verify your identity, and we never describe Members as "verified".
We also store the Handle you choose, the Interviews and Questions you post, your Collections and Prep Status, and your Also Asked confirmations.
Why we collect it
Your LinkedIn ID, name, and email let us recognise you as a returning Member and, in rare cases, let the Admin resolve who is behind a Handle — for example to respond to a legal request or investigate abuse. We never show your real name anywhere in the product; every Interview and Question is shown under your Handle only.
Who can see your real name
Only the Admin, GotAsked.io's single operator, can look up a Member's real name, and never through the ordinary product screens. Every lookup and every moderation action is logged.
Retention and erasure
- Content you delete yourself is removed from view immediately and is fully erased after 30 days (kept only briefly to let you restore it by mistake).
- Content the Admin hides for breaking the Content Rules is kept for a limited period (currently up to a year) for audit purposes, then erased.
- If you delete your account, we erase your Drafts, Collections, and Prep Status. You can choose to have your published Interviews erased as well, or kept under a "Deleted Member" placeholder with no link to your real identity or Handle.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. For any other request about your data, contact the Admin using the details below.
